The Women of Marvel Comics Part 6: Storm

Ororo Munroe first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975). Storm was one of the first black comic book characters, and the first black female, to play either a major or supporting role at either Marvel of DC. At times she has been a leader of the X-Men. She can control the elements of weather including temperature, and raising lightning, tornadoes, and wind storms. Storm is the queen of Wakanda and is married to King T’Challa, Black Panther.
