- Leading us off today, the Collected Editions Blog has unearthed the details on Superman: Earth One. The basics are: Hardcover, $19.99, 128 pages, release date September 7, 2010. No word on Batman: Earth One, but it should have similar specs.
- Joe, Forbidden Planet International, is compiling several Best of the Year 2009 lists. I’ll be submitting mine soon, keep an eye out for it.
- Brian Heater, Daily Cross Hatch, has complied The Best Damned Comics of 2009 Chosen by the Artists. Asterios Polyp is mentioned 16 times. Yes, it’s that good.
- Matt Price, Nerdage, posts his Best Graphic Novels of 2009. Can you say Asterios Polyp?
- Whitney Matheson, USA Today, has her Year in review: My top 10 comics/graphic novels of 2009. She has Detroit Metal City Volume 1 as her #1.
- Rob Worley, Mania, on 10 Holiday Gifts for the Comic Lover. A short and good list that covers 10 different genres.
- MTV, yes that MTV, MTV.com chooses Josh Neufeld’s A.D. (Pantheon Graphic Novels) as the best non-fiction comic of 2009
- Douglas Wolk, via Barnes & Noble, has created his Best Graphic Novels of 2009.
- Josh Wigler, CBR talks with Erik Larson on the Next Issue Project: Silver Streak Comics #24
- Review: Augie De Blieck Jr., Pipeline at CBR, on Rocketeer Complete Collection Vol. 1 HC Deluxe Edition (IDW)
