Collected Comics Library Podcast #294
30,650Kb; 30m 37s
Archie Andrews is as American as baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet. He’s been published since Superman first appeared and he’s just about as famous. For years, now, Archie has been reprinted in various forms, – digests, trade paperbacks and now even digitally. But lately other companies, like Dark Horse, IDW and Abrams ComicArts, have negotiated for reprint rights, too. And so with the influx seemingly coming from every angle, it has gotten confusing for the consumer. Today on the podcast I straighten everything – from the classic to the modern; from who is printing what to what the differences are. It’s also a great look at one of the most iconic characters in comic books and it’s about time I gave Archie and the Gang some publicity.
Also on the show today: I Answer a ton of eMail! Topics include: New Mutants, Binding Comics, DC Archive Editions, The Super Sons and Joker’s Last Laugh.
All this and the New Releases of the Week.
