Week in and week out bloggers, podcasters and critics alike talk about the artists that makes comic books great. But every artist has to start somewhere. Today on the show I veer off the regular Collected Edition path to talk about a couple of great beginning (and I mean beginning) instructional books. The first is Cartoon Cute Animals by Christopher Hart (Watson-Guptil). Yost is an accomplished artist in his own right and his books have sold over 2.5 million copies in over 18 countries! Secondly, is How to Draw Fairies and Mermaids by Fiona Watt (Usborne Books). Now you may be asking, how is Chris putting these books to use? The answer is, I’m not, but my daughter is using her Giant 194 Piece Art Set.

Also on the show today, Wimpy Kid Book 5, Library Binding and the Waco Bookbindery, Underground and Independent Comics, Comix, and Graphic Novels and I need help with the Golden Age Aquaman.

All this including the New Releases of the Week.
