Collected Comics Library Podcast #259
44,305Kb; 47m 09s
This is my Fifth Anniverasry of the Collected Comics Library Podcast! Thanks to everyone who as supported me over the years!
In the fourth installment of the Steve Ditko career retrospective, I chat with comic book historian, Craig Yoe about his new collected edition, Art of Ditko (Yoe Books and IDW). Craig has had the good fortune of working with Ditko and talks about his experiences and why he is such an icon of the comic book industry.
Craig also talks about another book of his, Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman’s Co-creator Joe Shuster (Abrams). Going beyond the drawings included here, Secret Identity is an important look at not only one of the fore-fathers of the modern superhero but the beginnings of underground comix.
All this including the contest winners of the Steve Ditko Book Giveaway and the free CCL iTunes App and news on the upcoming 40: A Doonesbury Retrospective from (Andrews McMeel).
