DC Comics has released their February 2012 solicitations and low and behold we have all of the Flashpoint trade paperbacks. You’ll notice that they all come at a rather nice price point of $17.99 and the main title itself comes i at $14.99 for the hook. I was surprised that there was no Road To Flashpoint trade paperback (so far we only have that on hardcover form), but that may be coming the following month.

What was surprising was an Absolute Final Crisis at $99.99. OK, OK we did get an Absolute Identity Crisis not long ago and perhaps DC is paving the way for ALL of the Crisis/Major event storylines including notables such as Zero Hour, DC One Million and Underworld Unleashed. and maybe, just maybe we’ll get that long awaited (by me anyway), Absolute Crisis On Infinite Earths The Tie-Ins book.

But really, there are so many great collected editions coming out this month, so let’s look at them now:

DC Comics has released their December 2011 Solicitations and I’m not at all surprised to see Absolute Dark Victory. This book has been rumored from Jeph Loeb for a number of years now. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time since we will get the Absolute Catwoman: When In Rome coupled with the three Haunted Knight one-shots that Loeb and Tim Sale did prior to Long Halloween.

DC Universe: Secret Orgins Hardcover is an odd duck, particularly because the individual softcover books included are pretty easy to find at Cons and online like eBay. None-the-less if you are an index guy like me, it’ll be a welcome addition to your own library.

If Catwoman Vol. 1 interests you then check out Batman: Ego and Other Tales that collects Darwyn Cooke’s other Batman material.

I rarely, if ever, tell my readers and listeners not to pick up something, but in this case the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents Chronicles Volume 1 (and subsequent volumes here-on-out) is a decline. Instead pick up the six seven volume hardcover Archives series.

As for a Must Have – it’s easy pick’ins: Showcase Presents: The Spectre Volume. Oh, how I wish this was in color, but black and white will have to do for now.
