- Scholastic’s Revenue Down 10% for Q2
- Devil’s Due Entertainment is back with new pubs, goals - This may be one to watch in 2013. I don’t expect anything huge, but it is good to see them back in business. I wish them well.
- DC does retain rights to the Spirit Archives - As they should. DC did an excellent job on these (and the one from Dark Horse). I’m happy I own the complete set. But DC should get these back in print, which according to the article, they will.
- Gail Simone Rehired as Writer for Batgirl - Wait. What?

- The CBLDF Annual Report
- Hermes Press to publish archival reprint of pre-code Brenda Starr - It doesn’t say so on the PR, but this book will reprint Brenda’s first appearances from Four Star publications, as well as, Superior.
- I Say, I Say… Son! A Tribute to Legendary Animators Bob, Chuck, and Tom McKimson - This book has been out for a few weeks. If you like the classic toons of the 50s and 60s this is for you.
