- Pat Mallet (1941 – 2012) – humor cartoonist and successful advertising artist who was best known for a school of gag cartoons featuring alien characters, died on September 29 according to this report at the French-language comics news clearinghouse ActuaBD.com.
- Bruno Le Floc’h (1957 – 2012) – whose striking style formed from years working in animation won the artist the Prix Goscinny in 2004.

- Marvel Announces Marvel Season One Graphic Novels For Iron Man, Wolverine And Thor - I really like the Season One books. Pick up the Daredevil one if your need somewhere to start.
- NYCC 12: Color Scott Pilgrim V2 will be available in three editions - Much like San Diego, one of them is the Evil Edition.
- 12-page preview of The Shadow: Blood & Judgment TP, published by Dynamite Entertainment - This si a top notch series. If you like old school pulp crime, pick it up!
