Let’s take a look at a few of the Image Comics November 2014 Solicitations.

I admit, I read the first issue of Saga and dropped it like a bad habit. Since then it has had much critical acclaim and the story, art and characterization, so I’m told, is worthy of revisiting. That said, I will be picking up the Saga Book One HC, collecting SAGA #1-18, 504 pages, $49.99. It seems that for the past year+, John Mayo and I talk about this series and it’s not going to be slowing down anytime soon. I might as well check it and at least give it a fair chance.

The Walking Dead Omnibus Volume 5, collecting THE WALKING DEAD #97-120, 560 pages, $100.00 / S&N EDITION $150.00, will no doubt be another best seller. I owned the first two Omnibus’ but eventually sold them on eBay for a pretty good profit — thank you very much. I now read the Walking Dead in digital format, but it’s worth pointing out this volume for those interested. They sell fast so if you want one, per-order one.

The Manhattan Projects Volume 5: The Cold War TP, collecting THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS #21-25, 144 pages, $14.99, has been a really fun ride blending science into comics all taking place in a parallel universe that doesn’t seem so far fetched at all. Jonathon Hickman is at his best in this series and I can’t wait to see how far he can take us.
