Comic Book Blog browsing on a Monday morning
Saturday night my wife and I attending a wedding for one of my good friends and co-workers, Patty and I decided that it would be fun (and different) if I wore a bow tie. I have to say that I think I looked pretty good. I had trouble tying it, but I think it have the hang of it down. I’m going to continue on practicing and viewing “how to” videos on You Tube. Not sure if this is the end of regular ties for me, but I think I may make the switch to bow ties full time. On with today’s links:
- Dark Horse’s Nexus Archives Volume 7 HC, which we we’re expecting in February has now been pushed to May 28. It will collect issues #40-46 (Vol. 2) from First Comics; 208 pages $49.95
- Johanna, Comics Worth Reading, reports that Archie Comics has announced that they’re going to do a second Sixties volume in their Archie Americana series. Book two will be out in June, 96 pages for $10.95
- Caleb, Every Day Is Like Wednesday, blogs on Eleven Things You Can Learn From Tales of The New Gods. If you are picking up the current Death of the New Gods storyline in Countdown of the Omnibus reprints of the Jack Kirby Fourth World books, this is an excellent article for you. And pretty funny, too.
- The Official new, premiere, magazine of Comic Con Magazine (formerly Update) is available for free download. Tons of useful information, but no word on podcasting, bummer.
- Review: Kevin P. Johnson, I Read Comic Books, on Hank Ketchum’s Complete Dennis The Menace 1951-1952, a book that will soon be out in softcover.
