• Rack Raids reviews Paul Gulacy’s Six From Sirius TPB
• Newsarama reports that Roberts Kirkman’s Tech Jacket will be collected in August from Image Comics
• Collected Editions Blog reviews Batman: Face the Face TPB. A book I loved!
• Jeff and his Graphic Novel Archive continues to go through everything you wanted to know about The Transformers Graphic Novels. I hope to have Jeff on an upcoming CCL show.

Today, I play catch up with 13 different topics and if you can figure out just why I chose the picture, I salute you. Like I was saying, I go over a ton of stuff, which includes the following: voice Mail, Daredevil e-mail, the 4th World Omnibus paper issue, Conventions, Podcast Awards, DC and Marvel Solicitations, the Fantastic Four Masterworks reprint price issue, Silver Surfer Essentials contents issue, John Mayo, my June 2007 pull list, new Question of the Month for July and the New Releases of the Week.
Yes, it’s a lot, but it’s not just a hobby, it’s an adventure.

• Comics Worth Reading tackles the subject of too many Marvel Zombie Hardcovers. Look for my comment.
• Silver Bullet Comics reviews Aliens Omnibus Vol. 1 from Dark Horse. I Liked the first two movies, then it got old.
• Collected Editions dives head first into the DC Hardcover decision making process. Excellent stuff and well worth considering.

Today I have something a little different. It’s an interview with Timothy Callahan, author of Grant Morrison: The Early Years. Besides going over his life in comics and his book, Tim and I talk about the collected editions market and he even shares his own Top 10!
You may be wondering why this isn’t a Trade Secrets Podcast, well, all is explained inside. And per usual I go over the New Releases of the Week.

• Marvel Zombies HC Gets 5th Printing. Mary Jane gets the cover this time. More fun with Mary Jane. She seems to Marvel hottest property right now. Excellent marketing, Marvel!
• Tom Spurgeon, The Comics Reporter, buys a few collected editions. Ironically, he hope that the quality of Jack’s book is good. Wonder what ‘ol Tom is think now?
• Friend of the show and fellow Podcaster, Augie De Blieck Jr, celebrates 10 years of his Pipeline column at Comic Book Resources. Congrats, Augie!
• Two reviews from Silver Bullet Comics, Dave Wallace on From Hell - a book that is a lot better then the movie, go figure. And Michael Deeley reviews Showcase Presents: The Phantom Stranger Volume 1. One of the better Showcase books.
• Collected Editions Blog reviews Absolute DC: New Frontier and Absolute Watchmen. The CCL even gets some love.
• Valiant Entertainment will be publishing a Harbinger deluxe hardcover collecting the full Harbinger origin story (Harbinger #0-7) for the first time ever, and includes an all-new “Origin of Harada” story by Jim Shooter that features the first appearance of a new key Valiant character!
• Eye on Comics reviews The Boys TPB.
• The Daily Cross Hatch reviews EC Archives: Tales From the Crypt Volume 1
• IDW will bring back The Badger and publish a nice collected edition
• GeekMonthly.com reviews Batman Black and White Volume 3

Sort of a milestone episode this week, as I produce show number 125! But really, it’s not a big deal. What is big, is that I finally got around to watching Spider-Man 3. I really enjoyed it and I share some thoughts on the subject.
I also do a double feature this week focusing on Wally Wood’s short lived series M.A.R.S. Patrol Total War and give a Marvel Masterworks history lesson on Nick Fury and his lack of one. But that’s all about to change this September.
All this, plus news of EC’s Frontline Combat Archives Vol. 1 for 2008 and the New Releases of the Week.
