After listening back to the podcast while I was editing, I went over my favorites of the year. Of course this is a highly subjective “Best Of” list and I’m sure that yours will differ from mine, but it’s a fun debate anyway.

Merry Christmas everyone and thank you very much for the support of me reaching 100 shows. I couldn’t have done it with out you.
Since this is such an important milestone, I decided to feature one of comicdoms most important works Maus. And to help me with the subject I have called upon a few of my comic Podcaster friends to add their 2 cents.
But don’t fret, I also do the usual news and new releases of the week and even a few friends drop on by to wish me congratulations.

The solicitations came out this week from DC, Marvel and Dark Horse. Quite honestly, it caught me off guard. I guess with the whole Christmas season, I lost track of time. Two new Masterworks were announced as well as a Legion Showcase! There’s also a ton of Spider-Man, but that should be expected with the new movie coming out. I’d anticipate a little more Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer trades coming up in the next few months due to their blockbuster, too.
Be sure to also swing by the new ComicSpace website. It’s amazing how fast it has grown in under a week. You can find me listed under ChrisCCL.
For the feature this week, I go over all the Civil War trades paperbacks as, well as, potential trades and just where some regular monthly tie-in issues fall in the collected editions department. Keep in mind some of it is a speculative list. I have faith in Marvel that they will fill in the gaps appropriately and in due time.
And don’t forget to sign up for the CCL/NCAA Football Bowl Contest (ENTRY FORM), there’s only one week to enter.

I’ve got a jam packed show for you today! The good news is that we’ll be getting a new Thor Masterworks in 2007. The bad and ugly news is about The Complete Invincible Library Volume 1.

This week I tell you my adventures at the JCC and the ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books 1938-1950 traveling gallery. There was also a small comic book convention there and I picked up the Shock SuspenStories Archives Volume 1. A beautiful book to say the least and I bought it for only $40!
