Collected Comics Library Podcast #35

First off, sorry for the poor audio quality. When I first listened to it, it sounded fine, but after I uploaded it, it went all scratchy on me. I’ll have to tone down the levels.
I have a bigger show tonight because of all the great DC and Marvel news that came down this week. I also touch on Donald Trump and Alan Moore. What a pair that would be, eh?
And as promised I have a new Table of Contents available for download for the book Batman: From the 30s to the 70s
Enjoy!

Upcoming Classic Comic reprints

Hey gang,
Here is a little update on what is going on in the world of Classic Comics reprints:
I received an e-mail from Bob Greenberger at DC Comics, he informed me that the Golden Age Flash Archives Volume 2 is scheduled for a January 2006 release. The contents include: Flash Comics #18-24 and All-Flash (Quarterly) #1-2.
On the Marvel side, Tales of Wonder is taking advance orders for The Avengers Masterworks Volume 5 due out in December. Lastly, if you do a search on Amazon for advance orders (as I do every month), you’ll find listing for The Essential Avengers Volume 5 which collects Avengers (Vol. 1) #98-126, Daredevil (Vol. 1) #99, Defenders (Vol. 1) #8-11 & Giant-Size Avengers #1 and The Essential Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man Volume 2 which collects Spectacular Spider-Man #32-61, Annuals #1-3.

Not bad, eh?

The 8th Annual DC Archives Survey is now live. Follow the link at:

This is a fantastic survey that DC does take a serious look at for ideas for upcoming Archives and Collected Editions.

I’ll comment on this in my next Podcast.
