Boy, where to start?
Have been so busy at work trying to finish up the golf season. The Ryder Cup Matches are now over and all I can say is Thank God. The American played poorly and the Euros played with heart, comrodory and spirit. We looked like a bunch of armatures at Oakland Hills. It was just sad. I turned down tickets of the practice round on Tuesday and on Saturday because I had to work. No big deal I would rather watch it on TV. And that’s just what I did. Patty and the kids went to Chicago for the weekend and I got to rest up. I went out and bought The Punisher on DVD expecting to watch in Saturday night, but I fell asleep at 4:00 pm and woke up Sunday morning. I guess I was completely exhausted. I haven’t slept that much since college. Now I have to find a new job because I don’t think I’ll be going back to CCD. Some friends of mine started up a small golf club business called Scratch Golf. I’d like to join up with them and sell their clubs (sgolfclubs.com). I also can join up with Chad and Chris in their Internet business venture, but I have a lot of questions first.
The kids are doing great. Patrick is going to school and Erin gets to be spoiled all day long by me, which is just fine. I love having Patrick and I also love spending one-on-one time with Erin. She is just so beautiful and precious. Patty had her birthday this week and we celebrated as a family with cake and presents. She bought a bunch of stuff on eBay, which made her happy.
Erin and I went out Tuesday and picked up the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD. I’m glad it’s finally out. Too bad Lucas didn’t add more extras. There must be 1000’s of hours worth of footage about all three movies and interviews. I was expecting to see the Leonard Maltin Interviews from the 1997 Editions regarding all the changes. As for the changes Lucas made this time around – I don’t really care one way or the other.
Erin and I also went to Home Depot and bought two shelving units for the basement. One for the old kids clothes and one for my comics. Both were desperately needed. Now that I have time off, I’m going to concentrate on my site a little more and selling a box load of comics on eBay.
Oh, and I caught Smallville last night. Good stuff. The Lois Lane character should be good and what’s up with Lana? I also watched Law and Order. I love Dennis Farina and his character, which is a little mysterious. But I can’t wait for more of The Shield.
