Running late

No time to talk today. Updating links and info on my site. I think I have a plan.
Developing…..

Tunnel vision

I had a strange day at work. Nothing weird really happened, but it was one of those “Twilight Zone” days. You know, the kind of days when you see the world as it looks at the end of a toilet paper tube.

The kids are at Mom’s. I went over and had Bar-B-Q. Good stuff. I came home and got a lot of work done on the site. Links are up as are a few new pages. I also picked up Avengers/JLA and Spirit Archives 14 at Mike’s. The first looks great! I have the originals, but I can now read the whole thing at once. I think it’ll make more sense this time.

Left, or is it right, of center?

I got home from work a lot later then I wanted too – 9:30pm. I also have massive headache. I don’t get mild headaches and I wouldn’t exactly call them migraines, but my head is pounding. So I’ll make this short.

I’m pissed because I really wanted to work on the CCL more. Ahhh crap, I’ll try to do it tomorrow.

A day off …and on

I was happy to do nothing today but enjoy the kids and the great weather. I put Erin’s toys together and Patrick wanted to play with all of them. But one came up broken and we trecked our way to Toys “R” Us. I hate that store. I should also mention we slept in to about 9:00am.

I’ve had a lot of responses to my Batmobile picture. People around the net seem to like it. That’s cool. I’m glad I’m able to share it.

I really have to go pick up my comics on Wednesday. Spirit Volume 14 is already at Mike’s and the new JLA/Avengers Slipcaes is coming out. With Marvel speeding up production on Masterworks and DC intent on maintaing a tight schedule and the fact that I’m about 12 books behind, it’s going to be a couple of expensive months. I’ll have to manage wisely and sell more old books on e-Bay. The Tales of Wonder affiliate checks will come in handy, too.

Erin’s Birthday

I woke up at 4:30 am with a giant cramp in my lower right leg. I can’t believe I didn’t wake up Patty. Sucker still hurts right now.

Because of that I got to work 20 minutes late. No big deal. I inhaled 3 cups of coffee and felt much better. The day was slow and I left at 2 to set up Erin’s 2-year birthday party at the local park. A fun day was had by all. She got some great gifts! We are now all very tired. I should update the website, but I think I’ll do that on Monday.

Something funny, I was driving up Woodward and the Batmobile pulled up right next to me, today. I had the camera and took a great photo:

Fixing a hole…

I didn’t get around to picking up my comics this week. It seems I’m always late, but Mike (my dealer) is cool with it.

I don’t have to work on Monday. But I will the following Monday for our Member Monday event. I’ll be drink a lot of coffee that day and I hope to play the 9-hole short course.

Tigers lost again. Higginson should be axed. No batter should swing at the first pitch when you have 2 men on and 2 outs and you’re down by 1.

Patty and I and the kids went to the park to scout out our plan for the party tomorrow. It will be a great time.

I have to remind myself to apply for that job with the USGA Sunday night. It would be awesome if I got it.

Tigers win one…finally

The Tigers finally won one after a four game skid and it came at the BoSox expense. Good. I hate Boston. BoSox fans are a bunch of Yankee wannabees. Much like the Spartans are to the Wolverines in football.
The kids got a bath today. Boy did they ever need it.
I had an uneventful day on the job. I managed to hit a few balls with my Five-iron. That felt good. The beer I had after I got home was even better. Want a really good brew? Take one bottle of George Killians and one bottle of regular Coors and poor them into a big glass together. You have instant Coors Extra Gold (which is already sold in stores). Yum Yum.

1st and 3rd

Well here it is, my first (or third) blog. Right off the bat I have to give credit to Bob Greenberger of DC Comics. He recently started his own blog at bobgreenberger.com and seeing him start one up, it gave me inspiration and a little nudge. Thanks Bob!

Basically what I want to do is just have a daily journal of my life. I’ve always wanted to have some sort of journal for my kids to look at when they get older and thanks to this wonderful little thing called the Internet, they can. I’ll be giving my opinions and observations on family, sports (Detroit sports really), politics, comics, home brewing, life in general and whatever else – just as ones blog is supposed to do. Some days it may be a few paragraphs and others it will be possibly one line. I’ll do my best to post everyday.

As for my site Collected Comics Library, I will still post relevant news and information on my homepage, but IÂ’ll give a more detailed opinion over here.

So on with today.

It began early. I woke up at 6 and went to work at the course (Country Club of Detroit). We didnÂ’t run carts until 1:00 and the women were OK with that. After work, I asked Patty if I could get 9 in, but she said she had to get things ready for ErinÂ’s 2-year birthday. No problem. I came down into the basement and pondered over starting a blog.

It is now ago.
