Bus’n

Patty got in OK and I had to get get up at 5:30 and go into work for a few hours.
Patrick got on the bus - he is such a big boy!!! Patty took the day off and went shopping for therapy. Good for her - she needs it. Erin took a nap and I went to work on the site. It’s starting to look good. I’m working on it more tonight. It’s 11 now and I’m going to crash.

A dark and stormy night

Patrick and I picked up the new screen door today. I will NEVER order anything from that company again. I still can’t believe they lost my order twice!!!

Work was easy and it was really hot today. I’m going in to work tomorrow for a few hours and I’ll come home and watch Patrick get on the bus!

Patty drove down to Indianapolis and she driving back tonight. There are bad storms out and she’s already called tonight while stopped on the highway due to a big accident. She’s going to stop at my Mom’s and bring the kids home on Friday.

I done a lot of good work on the site the past few days and I’ve uploaded a few new pages.

P’s and T’s

Patty and Patrick and I had a Parent-Teacher meeting at the school today. We had a nice visit, but we don’t know if its the best thing for Patrick. He seems so far advanced from the other kids - that’s because he is. We did decide, that for the time being it really can’t hurt him. He’ll get re-evaluated in November. I think deep down he’ll be ok and grow into a normal boy.

I did get 4 Lions tickets dropped off at work. The whole family will go next Thursday night against the Bills. Patrick can’t wait. I even got parking pass from Tim.

Cruise’n

The whole family had a great weekend!
Friday night we all walked down to the Woodward Cruise to watch all the cars go by. The rain ended just in time. Saturday was even better. We hit two parties and saw a million people and cars. Patrick loved it and I think I want to buy a Bel Air! Sunday I went to work and took it easy Sunday night. Tonight we are going down to the Tigers game. Bonderman is pitching – should be a good game.

E-Z day

I went over to Mike’s and picked up Action Heroes Archives Volume 1. I don’t know anything about Captain Atom and a little about Steve Ditko, outside of Spidy, for that matter. I hope this will help me understand him better. I also got Superman: The Greatest Stories Ever Told - not to be confused with The Greatest Superman Stories Ever Told, which was released a few years back. I just wanted it on my shelf.

Work was easy today and the kids are at Carol’s. I hope to do some major work on the site tomorrow morning.

Run and think

I did a lot of running around with the kids this morning. I had to pick up the vacuum in Northville and I HAD to go to the store to buy milk and such. The house is empty. What great parents we are, eh?

I dropped the kids off at Kathy’s and went to work. We were fairly busy and it rained, which kept some people from going out. Wes’s car was hit in the parking lot and he called the cops to report it. He has to go to court tomorrow and fight a speeding ticket. I don’t think he’ll win.

Patty is on my case about finding a job after golf season is over. She is right, but I’m not exactly sure what direction to take. I did apply for a few jobs, USGA included, but I have not heard back. I think I may like to do something with publishing or new media. I don’t think I want to program again.

9 and Woodward

Had to go to work today. We had a 60 person Shotgun at 1:00. I managed to get in 9 holes on the big course and a full nine on the shot course.

I stopped in a comic book store that I found on Mack Ave. All-Star Comics is the name and they seem to have a good back issue lot. Most stuff is .50 or $1.00. I’ll have to go fishing someday.

After work Patrick and I went up to Woodward to watch the cars go by. The Cruise has already started. Lots of the usual suspects: Stingrays, Mustangs, Camaros and Bel-Airs.
Friday night should be fun when the two of us can go see Mike’s K.I.T.T. and the Starsky and Hutch Torino.

Boy, what a weekend!
Friday night at 11:30 I stayed up late to listen to Bob Greenberger’s interview, via iTunes, on a local radio station in New York. I thought it was a good interview about half and half of DC Comics and Bob’s writing with Star Trek novels. It ended at 1:00am and I had to get up at 5 to go to work.
Saturday was like any normal day. At one point in the morning Tom came across a Suite at the Lions game for later on that evening. 12 tickets were for us and 12 were for the guys from Oakland Hills Country Club. The next thing you know, 8 more tickets show up. 4 for Club level and 4 right on the 50 behind the Lions bench. Wes, Keith and I got the Club Level and we all got invited to the DAC for drinks before the game! Everyone eventually got into the Suite because the Oakland Hills guys didn’t show. Too bad for them. I got home at midnight, very tired and drunk.
Sunday came and after church the family went to St. Angela’s Fair. The kids loved the rides and I almost got sick in the Ferris wheel.

I’m at home now, after an easy day at work. I’m really tired and I have to work a Shotgun on Monday.

Man, my contacts are really bothering me at night. They are getting all cloudy.
The kids went to the St. Angela fair with Patty and Carol. They had a great time and they got home late, 10:00.
Time for me to pack it in and go to bed. I have to be up at 6:30 to go to work.
